I am based in the rural north of Dorset (UK); the local countryside being the inspiration and focus for much of my work. I have been a freelance working professional photographer and artist for many years. I appreciate the merits of using photography objectively for representational purposes, but my preference is always to use it as a creative tool in a subjective way as an artist. That’s not me being pretentious in any way -  I am simply fighting the corner for photographers who choose to use the photographic medium as an art form. If we photographers don’t embrace it as an art form, then how can we expect others to?  I have a big heart to help others going forward in the craft of their photography, so for many years I have been hosting UK-based workshops for photographers from the UK and all around the world - many becoming good friends. Alongside my workshops, I quietly go about my photographic business as a working professional with an open minded approach to whatever project or assignment I am asked to do.
